How Do I Meet People?

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at this church.

Sunday School
Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small Bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve people. At a time designated by your group leader you can participate in the small group study.

Youth & Children’s Ministry
Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. Other activities and events also round out the ministry to youth and children at Grace Place.

Young Adults
Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The Young Adult group of our church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.

Women’s Group
Women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men’s Ministry
Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. The men of Grace Place meet together as their schedules allow and keep in touch by email or phone.

Married Couples
Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally. The Couple’s Ministry provides enriching activities that educates and guides couples for life-challenges that are unique to the marital experience. Topics might include Marriage and Money, Getting Ready for Kids, Shepherding Children, and Marriage and Sex. This group also offers exciting activities like nights-on-the-town or at-the-movies, fun fellowship experiences, and other relaxing sessions to build bonds between spouses.

Ministerial Group
Ministers are not holier-than-thou! They have needs too, and many times those require special attention. After exhausting body, soul, and spirit to prepare for, and then minister God’s Word (or even oversee the well-being of the body of Christ), a refreshing is most times in order.
This group meets by pre-arranged scheduling to receive pastoral directives, provide feedback on assigned tasks or responsibilities, and even have lighter moments of fun and recreation, all with goal of growing in grace together.
Many Other Groups and Ministries
Only a few of many, many areas to serve and grow are shown here. Please reach out to our administration team for a list of “Service Descriptions” that identify areas where volunteers and leaders are needed.
